Femme Lunatique Productions was founded to create, programme and record new art music. Projects range from bespoke concert and site-specific performances, devising and producing recordings, to conducting educational workshops and presentations about the health benefits of singing. Special emphasis is given to the work of women composers and poets, and releasing the power of the female voice.
In 2016, Femme Lunatique Productions was named Runner Up to the Women in the Arts Award at the Kent Women in Business awards, and in 2017, our CD One Art was named as a winner in the Hawai’i Public Radio International Art Song Contest.

Founder: Laure Meloy
Soprano Laure Meloy has made a specialty of challenging twentieth century and contemporary repertoire. Her Ariel in Thomas Adès’ The Tempest with Hungarian State Opera was ‘astounding,’ and her Hecuba in English Touring Opera’s Olivier Award-winning King Priam ‘outstanding’ ‘mesmerising’ and ‘passionate.’ She joined the roster of the Metropolitan Opera New York in both the 2017-2018 and 2012-2013 seasons, and has performed at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Theatre Freiburg, and Opera North. Ms. Meloy has premiered many new works, and her voice was featured on the soundtrack of the BBC/Sony film ‘Rocketmen.’ Her CDs can be purchased on the Recordings page of this website.
As a lecturer in voice and singing at music colleges and universities and as a private voice teacher, Ms. Meloy practices a wholistic technique, treating every student as an individual and emphasising healthy use and care for the vocal instrument. She promotes the belief that singing is an innate ability, and an essential part of physical and mental health. In addition to training aspiring professional singers, Ms. Meloy runs singing workshops for older people, community groups, and teaches one-to-one singing lessons with amateur singers in all genres.
